As we already mentioned in the story of his life, Henri HANSY and his wife Catherine COLENS had 10 children between 1639 and 1659 :

It is almost certain that several of these children died at a young age, since infant mortality was above 30% in those years. The death certificates of this period however have not been kept. The marriage certificates of that period also no longer exist, causing us to lose all track of their daughters who, at the time of their marriage, took over their husband’s name.

The elder son, LAURENT, born in 1639, seems to be the only one who continued this branch of the family. Around 1673 he married Marguerite MOURAUX and this marriage would be blessed with 8 children :

Since all their children were born in Bastogne, we can conclude that Laurent and Marguerite were living there too. However we do not have any further information about when exactly they were married nor when they died.

The second son, PIERRE, born in 1644, appears to have followed in his father’s footsteps.
