Introduction
Towards
the years 1980, Pascal DELPERDANGE began to be
interested in genealogy. He started to question his parents,
his grandparents, uncles and aunts, and assembled an
important quantity of information concerning the
DELPERDANGES of the Bastogne region. In consulting the acts
of baptism, marriages and death certificates at the registry
office at Bastogne and in the State Archives, he managed to
build a line of ancestors from towards 1650. In 1997, he
organised a big family reunion where all the descendants of
his great-great-grandparents, François DELPERDANGE and Marie
BRAQUET were invited (see Family Reunion of the 5th of
October,1997).
At the
end of the years 1990, Emmanuel DELPERDANGE in going
from his immediate family, then, basing equally on the
official documents saved in the Archives did similar
research and presented his results on his internet site.
At the
end of 2003, Colin KANNREUTHER, the husband of
Eliane DELPERDANGE, discovered the two parallel
initiatives and noticed that the two went back to the same
ancestors. In January 2004 at his initiative, we met in
Bastogne.

In comparing our experiences and results, we noticed that
all the information gathered could be used in a combined
initiative, and that all the knowledge found concerning the
Delperdange Genealogy could be reassembled and be
continually kept up to date.
Since we published this genealogical information on the
web, we have received a lot of reactions. This allows us
to correct, complete and illustrate this website, which
now includes the contribution of many people, who all
have a link with the DELPERDANGE name.
